1) Big Ideas sheet due tomorrow! You should have met with your team(s) today and brainstormed and completed the sheet. You should also have your photo and interview assignments. Editors need to be very specific with these. We will discuss more tomorrow.
2) Quiz Sept. 23 will cover:
- terminology
- top 6 issues that need fixing
- editors (who they are and what titles/jobs they have)
- spread assignment process (what is due day after spread is assigned? what gets done each week? what's due? how are photos submitted? how many times does copy get reviewed before submission to EIC? etc. - get the BIG picture of the process)
3) Ad sales: You must attempt to sell 5 ads by the end of this marking period (for credit submit ad order forms or ad refusal forms signed). Rates go up Oct. 1.
4) T-shirt orders: $15 by Friday
5) Remember to check your email frequently (the one you use for yearbook) for emails from editors, other staff members, and Adwers.
6) all fall sports photos due Oct. 30 - minimum requirements as follows:
- at least two home games (and one away if at all possible)
- practice
- before/during/after photos
- 5 types of photos:
•Location/establishing shot (wide angle, big picture)
•Single shot of one person (close-up)
•Group interaction shots (large group)
•A pair or three working together
•Parts of the whole – tight close-up (detail) (trainer’s hand, person’s foot, no faces – detail
